The emergence of a third Brotherhood front… Will the Kamalit remove the fronts Hussein and Munir?

The conflict within the Muslim Brotherhood between the Istanbul Front led by Mahmoud Hussein and the London Front led by Ibrahim Munir has evolved into a new twist with the birth of a new gathering or a small Brotherhood organization led by al-Shabaab, controlled by the self-proclaimed “Kamalit”, followers of Mohammad Kamal, a member of the Guidance Bureau, who led the armed action against the Egyptian state and created the terrorist “Sawaed Egypt” and “Hasm”, who was killed in a battle with Egyptian security forces in 2016.

Al-Arabiya reported that the Kamalit Front rejects the practices of the Istanbul and London Fronts and vows to end conflicts. They declare themselves and their desire to remove the old and senior leaders and push new faces among them to manage the group, adding that what supports their position is that 80% of the members of the administrative offices in Egypt are loyal to Mohammad Kamal, and they can control the group, and mobilize to topple the London and Istanbul Fronts, and get the support of the leaders of the group in prisons to control the organization.

After the intensification of conflicts between the Brotherhood’s fronts and the emergence of the third front, a major problem arose concerning the dispute over how to manage the wealth, property, and funds of the Brotherhood, which is estimated at billions of dollars and exceeds the budgets of countries, and to arrange terms of reference in light of the deepening differences and the difficulty of reaching an agreement or reconciliation. This obstructs the management of several other files, such as the files of detainees, the group’s relations abroad and its media platforms, in addition to the leaks that come from time to time questioning the leaders and accusing them of financial and moral corruption. Some of the recent leaks regarding the discovery of thefts involving a senior official from the Mekameleen satellite channel, and his exposure to blackmail by another employee who worked with him and knew about his theft. This led him to negotiate with a sum estimated at 60,0000 dollars. However, after receiving the agreed amount, the employee failed to abide by the agreement and reported the irregularities and robberies of the official to the leaders of the group in Istanbul.

Important leaders of the group fear that more scandals will seep in, undermining the image of leaders among the Muslim Brotherhood, particularly as the conflict intensifies and both sides resort to distorting leaders and members of the other, and demonizing embezzlement and financial corruption.
