The forces of Arab Coalition interrupted explosive-laden Houthi drone launched towards Saudi Arabia

The coalition’s spokesperson reported that forces that belong to the Arab Coalition interrupted, on Wednesday, an explosive-laden drone that was launched by the Iran-backed Houthis towards Saudi Arabia. The spokesperson also said that the Houthis’ aims to attack civilians in the Kingdom constitute as a war crime.

Indeed, the coalition takes the necessary procedures to guarantee that civilians in Saudi Arabia are protected at all times, said the spokesperson. This actually comes a day after that the coalition destroyed yet another Houthi explosive drone targeted the Kingdom’s Khamis Mushait.

Moreover, the coalition declared, earlier on Tuesday, that it had interrupted and demolished a drone launched by the Iran-backed Houthi militia to target the Abha International Airport in Saudi Arabia.

According to spokesperson, remainders from the drone were dispersed around the airport after that the coalition interrupted the assault, while; there was no fatalities or injuries.

It should indicate that the Houthis have launched, in recent months, many assaults targeting the Kingdom and civilian objects, like airports.

Furthermore, Iran supports the Houthis in Yemen’s civil war against the internationally-recognized government, and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) provides the Houthis with missiles, drones, and training, which allow the group to target airports and other critical infrastructure.
