The memory of the Epic of Bin Kirdan.. Tunisia bleeding from ”Brotherhood terrorism”

Tunisians on Sunday marked the fifth anniversary of the Bin Kirdan massacre, when 14 Tunisian soldiers were killed in a confrontation with terrorists on the border with Libya.

The anniversary of the intensification of Tunisia’s situation within a decade since the arrival of the Brotherhood in power; The dawn of March 7, 2016, marked a milestone in the country’s history.

Terrorists attempted to establish the so-called “Caliphate Emirate” in the city of Ben Kirdan on the border with Libya, before Tunisian security forces engaged in clashes with them that lasted until March 9th of the same year.

During the saga, 50 terrorists were killed and 7 others were arrested, while 14 military, security and civilian personnel were killed and a citizen was wounded.

Tunisian analysts reiterated the stance of the city’s residents, who stood firmly behind the military and security forces to save Bani Kirdan from the evil plot of the terrorist group ISIL under the cover of the Brotherhood.

Saif al-Hamrouni, a union activist, was one of the eyewitnesses to the battle and confirmed that Hali Bani Guerdan was not deterred by bullets and RPGs from leaving their homes and assisting security, and confronting calls by terrorists in the city center by using loudspeakers to incite them against the Tunisian army.

Al-Hammouri told “Alayn Al-Ekhbariya : “We must determine the responsibility for the terrorist threats that have plagued Tunisia’s security and stability for 10 years,” he said, adding that holding the anniversary without political accountability to the sponsors of terrorism is a failure on the part of the victims.

Persistent plans and threats

According to many observers, the terrorist threats against Tunisia did not stop in light of the spread of the blasphemy and divisive rhetoric of Tunisians between the renaissance of the Brotherhood and their secular opponents, which the Brotherhood promotes strongly.

The ISIL is merely an extension of Muslim Brotherhood ideology, said political science researcher Narges bin Qumra. Both camps have organic relations, with each party adopting the exclusionary takfiri discourse.

The Ben Kirdan operation was the most violent terrorist attack on the country during the reign of late President Beji Caid al-Essebsi, with hidden alliances between Tunisia’s Muslim Brotherhood and terrorist movements in western Libya, she said.

Qais Saeed uprising

Tunisian President Qais Said appeared very tough in a number of positions with the Muslim Brotherhood, as was evident during his meeting on Friday (March 5th) with a delegation representing the residents of Bani Kirdan in the Mineen governorate, the far south of Tunisia, on the border with Libya.

Said, in a clear interview with the Ikhwanite Renaissance Movement and their ally, Prime Minister Hisham Al-Meshashi, said that the current governors did not learn from history and did not realize that a new phase of it was beyond their lines, and that the level of change for the better must be achieved.

Those who had put their hands on the state were nostalgic for the old dictatorship, and they were the only ones who wanted to reach and control power, even on the bodies of Tunisians.

As for the money pumped without a seat of control, and in parallel with a speech about the state’s bankruptcy, the Tunisian president warned both of them as the rules of the policy of the Brotherhood and the government and their debt to manage the situation in a country that had exhausted the pointless wait of its youth and exhausted the promises of their illustrious march towards the patience of Tunisians.

The President of Tunisia confirmed that the sacrifices made by the people of the Ben Kirdan region, in conjunction with the military and security institutions, made a huge sacrifice, stood in the face of those who thought they could invade the homeland starting from the far south.

President Said also confirmed that he is working in silence to achieve what the people of Bin Kirdan are waiting for. The people of Bin Kirdan, whose heroism and enslavement in the face of terrorists, have made a historic epic that Tunisians will never forget.
