The Terrorism Monitor reveals the movements of Iranian militias to spread terrorism and murder in the Middle East
The Terrorism Monitor on the MEMRI platform published, Saturday, a report on the terrorist operations that took place in the region over the past week from March 19 to 26, revealing Iran’s involvement in the vast majority of terrorist operations in the region, confirming that Iran is resorting to terrorist operations to destabilize the Middle East region and extend its fingernails to shake the heart of the region.
The report is based on several platforms interested in monitoring and tracking terrorist operations and groups involved in terrorism in the region.
The report monitored the reaction of pro-Iranian Shia militias and the Houthis after Saudi Arabia announced the execution of 81 people involved in terrorist operations, following their conviction on March 12.
In addition to the traditional terrorist movements of ISIS, al-Qaeda, and Somalia’s al-Shabaab, the report also monitors the movements of pro-Iranian Shia militias in the region and their involvement in major acts of terrorism aimed at destabilizing the situation.
Calling for a coup in Kurdistan
The MEMRI report notes that Iranian-backed Shia militias in Iraq released a video calling on Iraqi Kurds to overthrow the KRG leadership on March 15, 2022.
The report said Harakat Hezbollah al-Nujaba, an Iranian-backed Iraqi Shiite militia closely affiliated with Iraq’s Hezbollah Brigades, published a five-and-a-half-minute video in Kurdish, addressing residents of Iraqi Kurdistan and urging them to bring down the political leadership of the Barzani family.
5 foreigners arrested in Iraq
The report also monitored Iranian-backed media groups that arrested five foreigners, accused them of trying to smuggle artifacts out of Iraq and referred to them as part of a NATO spy cell.
The report indicated that on March 20, 2022, an Iraqi media outlet supported by Iran, via Telegram, reported that five foreigners were arrested at Baghdad International Airport, accused of stealing Iraqi antiquities.
Houthi attacks on Saudi Arabia
Iranian-backed terrorist operations are continuing at the hands of the Houthi terrorist militia, especially targeting Saudi Arabia and its oil installations. The Iranian-backed Houthi terrorist militia in Yemen has claimed responsibility for two rocket attacks and drone attacks on Saudi energy and water infrastructure facilities.
On 20 March 2022, the Houthi militia released two statements claiming responsibility for two rocket attacks and drone strikes targeting energy and water infrastructure facilities in Saudi Arabia on 19 March and 20 March 2022.
Macron assassination attempt thwarted
An Iranian-funded pro-Hezbollah newspaper in Lebanon revealed that Lebanese security services foiled an ISIS plot to assassinate French Prime Minister Macron in September 2020.
The MEMRI report stated that on March 14, 2022, the pro-Hezbollah Lebanese newspaper published an investigative report, according to which the Lebanese security services reported foiling a plot in August 2020 to assassinate French President Emmanuel Macron during a visit to Beirut in September of that year.
Confessions of the terrorist Minister of Interior of Afghanistan
From Iran-backed terrorist groups to Qatari-backed terrorist groups, the MEMRI report revealed that Afghan Interior Minister Sirajuddin Haqqani, who is on the FBI’s most wanted list, admitted that 1,050 suicide bombers seeking martyrdom carried out attacks on his own.
According to media reports in Dari and Pashto, Sirajuddin Haqqani, who is on the FBI’s most wanted list and is now the interior minister of the Taliban government in Afghanistan, called on his supporters not to forget the sacrifices of suicide bombers. He said 1,050 jihadists carried out suicide bombings on his own orders.
