The terrorist Muslim Brotherhood… Anger in Libya, division in Tunisia, and disregard in Mauritania

The state of disarray experienced by the Brotherhood in many Arab countries, between defections, crises, and powerful strikes, led to the disintegration of the terrorist group.

Libya’s Brotherhood Spark Anger

A lecture by Hala Samir, a presenter for the Muslim Brotherhood in the Corinthia Hotel in the Libyan capital Tripoli, has sparked a wave of anger on social media in Libya. The lecture, titled “Ramadan Brings Us Together”, was held exclusively for women. It was part of the activities of “Tripoli City Nights”, the Ramadan cultural season in the Old City, organized by the Libyan unity government as part of the projects for the return to life.

The lecture, with its Muslim Brotherhood propaganda, was widely rejected by social media activists in Libya, who described it as an attempt to recruit Libyan women to the Muslim Brotherhood.

Strike from inside

The Tunisian Ennahda movement has received a new blow from within. Mohamed Qaoumani, the leader of the movement and former chairman of the party’s political crisis management committee, announced that there is a contrast with the prevailing political consensus in the leadership of Ennahdha on the assessment of the general situation in the country and the requirements to deal with it, and the effective handling of the complex and complicated national crisis, and the unsatisfactory party conditions, according to him.

Phantom battles

The Moroccan Justice and Development Party continues to stir mock battles here and there, as the Muslim Brotherhood party launched a sharp attack on the government, pointing out “the seriousness of the unprecedented state of confusion that accompanied the recent decision of the Board of the Bank of Morocco, regarding the raising of the main interest rate.”

The government ignores the Brotherhood

In Mauritania, the ruling party and other parties held a political meeting at the Ministry of Interior to consult and coordinate to protect democratic gains in relation to the overall course of the electoral process, while the National Assembly for Reform and Development, the terrorist Brotherhood’s political arm, was ignored.

Shaking the Brotherhood’s Image

Hisham Al-Najjar, an expert specializing in terrorist groups, says there is no doubt that the image of the terrorist Brotherhood in the Maghreb was shaken by what happened and is happening to Ennahdha now in Tunisia. What is happening will certainly have repercussions on their counterparts in Morocco, Algeria, and Libya, and will expose and embarrass the most important allies of the Brotherhood in this region.

He said that this rift will definitely lead to distancing the terrorist group from the political scene, stressing that the image of the Muslim Brotherhood in the Maghreb after what happened in Tunisia to Ennahdha will undoubtedly affect the future of political movements and parties with Brotherhood ideology.
