The UAE continues to provide assistance in the Gaza Strip
The United Arab Emirates, through the “Gallant Knight 3” humanitarian operation, initiated under the directives of the country’s leader, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, on November 5th of last year, continues to provide humanitarian and relief aid to Palestinians in Gaza.
The UAE Red Crescent Authority announced the completion of preparations to send a new shipment of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip, including winter clothing.
The authority explained, in an official statement carried by the Emirates News Agency (WAM), that the new shipment is specially prepared in several factories in the Arab Republic of Egypt before being delivered to the Egyptian city of El-Arish to begin the procedures for its entry into the sector.
A delegation from the UAE Red Crescent Authority inspected several specialized clothing factories in Egypt to prepare 400,000 winter-resistant jackets.
The authority continues to monitor and prepare transport vehicles for the aid shipment, as well as purchasing blankets, heaters, and winter gloves to assist Palestinian children and families affected by the situation in Gaza. The aim is to alleviate the suffering of the affected groups, especially children, who constitute nearly half of the population of the sector, to face the severe cold during the winter season.
In addition, the “Gallant Knight 3” operation completed a program of psychological and entertainment competitions for displaced children at Kadissia School in Rafah to alleviate their suffering and that of their families in light of the harsh conditions they are currently experiencing.
This program is part of the relief and humanitarian efforts carried out by the UAE, embodying its commitment to solidarity and cooperation with the Palestinian people. The country has a long history of humanitarian and relief work, providing all forms of possible support.
The families of the children expressed their profound gratitude to the United Arab Emirates, both leadership and people, for this significant assistance and humanitarian gesture, emphasizing that this program came at the right time to help them and their children face the difficult conditions they are currently going through.
It is worth noting that the UAE has sent tons of aid to the Gaza Strip through air and sea bridges via Egypt and established a field hospital that provided treatment to thousands of Palestinian citizens.
