The UAE continues to provide developmental aid to Southern Yemen… The latest

The United Arab Emirates continues to provide developmental aid to various provinces in southern Yemen as part of efforts to achieve living and service stability.

In recent days, the UAE Red Crescent inaugurated projects in the water sector in the districts of Tarim and the Kings of Kanda, along with a project to build a health unit and a commercial market in the al Qaf district.

These projects contribute to improving the level of health and educational services, as well as infrastructure projects in the province, an area that the southern leadership is keenly interested in.

Hamed Salem Qwaya, the UAE Red Crescent’s project supervisor, stated, “The United Arab Emirates has implemented a package of developmental projects to meet societal needs and support infrastructure and health projects in several provinces, including Hadramaut.” In Tarim, the UAE Red Crescent constructed 3 stone water tanks with a capacity of 700 cubic meters each in the villages of Al-Ghurf, Al-Qariya, and Al-Qism, benefiting more than 42 thousand residents of Hadramaut.

The second project was in the al Qaf district, where the UAE Red Crescent inaugurated the second phase of a project to build a health unit and a commercial market.

This came after the launch of several educational, developmental, and service projects in the first phase, including the construction of a mosque, two elementary schools, a water tank, a playground for children, and a family recreational area in the district. The UAE has provided significant humanitarian aid, playing a crucial role in improving living conditions, with a focus on meeting the basic needs of citizens.

These projects underscore the level of attention the UAE and its wise leadership devote to improving humanitarian conditions, through initiatives undertaken by the UAE Red Crescent to alleviate the suffering of the population and support infrastructure projects to face the challenging circumstances they are experiencing.
