The UAE ranks first in Arab countries in terms of civic culture and the environment of freedoms

The United Arab Emirates was born out of an interest in serving its citizens and supporting different freedoms and cultures. Recently, the United Arab Emirates became one of the most important countries in the world in supporting the global modernity system and the cultural well-being of citizens.

Recently, the United Arab Emirates became the first Arab country to be ranked as one of the most advanced Arab countries in the course of strengthening the foundations of the modern state, supporting the exercise of the culture of citizenship, and strengthening the environment of freedoms related to development. It also topped the list of the most tolerant and achieving the principle of coexistence, and stimulating creativity, innovation, and empowerment of the Arab environment.

Most supportive of the exercise of freedoms

The United Arab Emirates was the most supportive of the exercise of freedoms with significant guarantees, and this ranking included most Arab countries for 2023.

According to international and regional rankings, the UAE and Kuwait were the most advanced Arab countries in promoting the components of a modern state, supporting the exercise of a culture of citizenship, and promoting an environment of freedom related to development.

The ranking in the Arab States Trade-Off was based on several indicators, namely the General Freedoms Index, the Economic Freedoms Index, the Gender Equality Index, the Innovation Index, the Law Enforcement Index, the Justice Enforcement Index, the Social Progress Index, the Anti-Corruption Index, the Corruption Risk Index, and the State Strength and Political Stability Index.

The UAE also topped the list of modern state indicators that respond to the aspirations of the future generation, especially in terms of achieving prosperity, state institutions, law enforcement, justice, combating corruption and the political stability index.

These results reflect the fact that the UAE has advanced among Arab countries in fostering an environment of freedom related to development. It has also taken the lead in classifying the most tolerant Arab environment, which achieves the principle of coexistence, stimulates creativity, innovation, and empowerment, and is among the most supportive of the exercise of freedoms with tangible guarantees.

The UAE has also achieved the equation of supporting well-being and linking its guarantee to the consolidation of the rule of law and institutions.

The concept of freedom has many factors

Fahd Al-Shulaimi, president of the Gulf Forum for Human Rights, believes that freedom in the Gulf states, whether in the UAE or Kuwait, has several factors, the first of which is religion. Freedom must be regulated and limited so that the freedoms of others are not infringed.

The third point is the law, the fourth point is social education, and the fifth is material prosperity. I believe that citizenship was developed through the services provided and provided by the state, and the biggest examples are dealing with the coronavirus crisis and how the Gulf countries cared for their citizens and housed their citizens in hotels.

He continued: As for the freedom that the West talks about, like freedom of expression in the West, it differs among Arabs. The ruler in the Gulf is a guardian, meaning a great father to the countries, whether they are citizens or residents. Thus, he is governed by freedom of expression on a certain basis and boundaries, while in the West there are no limits to freedom of expression, even if the head of state is cursed there is something normal.

UAE citizens also feel the value of the state, the state services and the five security factors it provides. This has raised the value of citizenship and the value of the homeland to Gulf citizens and separated freedom from citizenship when displaced citizens in the West see millions remembering their homeland.
