The United Arab Emirates participates in the 42nd session of the FAO General Conference

The United Arab Emirates participated in the 42 Session of the Council of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO).

The UAE was represented by Mariam Al Muhairi, UAE Minister of State for Food and Water Security, and Omar Al Shamsi, Permanent Representative to the FAO and Ambassador of the UAE to Italy, according to a tweet by the UAE government’s media office.

The conference, which began on June 14 and will continue until June 18, discussed the state of food and agriculture in “transforming agricultural and food systems from strategy to action”.

It also addressed substantive, administrative, legal, financial and other policy issues.

The conference was attended by 500 representatives from different countries around the world.
