Tunisia: Popular demands to dissolve Ennahdha to eliminate corruption and terrorism
many crises experienced by the Muslim Brotherhood Ennahdha movement and internal unrest affecting the entity that ruled Tunisia for more than ten years, due to the crimes of corruption, looting and assassinations committed by the leaders of the terrorist movement during their rule; As a result, they stand before the judicial podiums to prosecute their crimes, especially Ennahdha’s President Rached Ghannouchi. In light of these trials and the legal procedures that are being carried out against Ennahdha and the Brotherhood, calls for the dissolution of this Brotherhood movement emerged because of what it did to the Tunisian people recently.
To dissolve Ennahdha
The report revealed that the Tunisian people are still very concerned about the possibility of the return of Muslim Brotherhood movements to the political scene despite the exceptional measures taken by President Kais Saied on July 25. Many believe that despite these decisions and trials, the Muslim Brotherhood movement is seeking to return to the scene through the policies of maneuvers and alliances with which they are known. The report pointed out that Tunisians believe that the dissolution of the Muslim Brotherhood’s Ennahdha Movement helps to confront these maneuvers and schemes, as the people reject the movements that exploit religion for their own projects and serve non-national agendas, especially that Ennahdha has been involved in the past 10 years in spreading terrorism and extremism, dismantling society and ties with Brotherhood and international organizations accused of terrorism, all of which represent strong evidence through which the party can be dissolved.
Major risk
For her part, Dr. Badra Gaaloul, President of the International Center for Strategic Studies in Tunisia, said that Ennahdha has become the biggest threat to the Tunisian state’s movements at the present time, especially in light of the procedures carried out by the state from the successful referendum of a new constitution, followed by the preparation of a new election law followed by local and parliamentary elections, which confirms that the Tunisian state is on the right path towards the new republic.
The head of the International Center for Strategic Studies in Tunisia added that the greatest danger is the existence of this Muslim Brotherhood movement without taking a decision to dissolve it, stressing that there are new games to return to the scene by entering into suspicious coalitions, all of these things must be taken by the state to be on guard against these Brotherhood schemes, pointing out that the Tunisian people support their state in the face of any of the Brotherhood’s schemes of Ennahdha.
Confronting corruption
A study by the Pharos Center for Strategic Studies revealed that the Tunisian state will prosecute Ennahdha figures on charges of corruption and embezzlement; this will place the movement in a tight spot, especially after the threats of the Muslim Brotherhood movement to enter the country into chaos. The study confirmed that the Muslim Brotherhood Ennahdha Movement has worked to bring the country into a dark tunnel, and that the countries of the world will not stand for long in the face of the Tunisian events, as they came within a constitutional framework, but it will look closely at what the events will turn out to be.
