Tunisia…The prime minister-designate announces a technocratic government


The prime minister-designate of Tunisia, Hichem Mechichi, has declared on Monday that a government of independent technocrats without parties trying to keep away the government from political disputes and only concentrates on improving the weak economy.

It should be noted that Mechichi, 46 years old, is an independent, and he was an interior minister in the government of Elyes Fakhfakh who left in July because of claims of a conflict in interest.

Moreover, the prime selected the liberal economist Ali Kooli as minister of Economy, Finance, and Investment. He is CEO of Arab Banking Corporation (ABC Bank) in Tunisia.
