Tunisian kills pregnant wife with 20 stabs in Canada
A Tunisian husband killed his pregnant wife in the Canadian city of Montreal with over 20 stabs in various parts of her body.
The husband’s killing of his wife, named “Narjis,” sparked anger among Tunisians on social media in Tunisia, recalling the rising trend of femicides in recent times.
Canadian media reported that the police immediately arrested the 42-year-old husband on charges of killing his 32-year-old wife, stating that “the perpetrator called the police to report his crime, and he was apprehended immediately at the victim’s residence.”
Authorities added that the husband inflicted approximately 20 stabs to his wife’s abdomen, whom he had been married to for about 3 years.
Tunisian activist Mohamed Al-Bouganmi wrote on social media, in a Facebook post: “A Tunisian man residing in Montreal kills his Tunisian wife by stabbing her to death due to marital disputes.”
He added: “When a girl chooses the wrong man in her life… Narjis Ben Yedder, a Tunisian married to Mustafa Meshkan… the latter killed his wife in Montreal by stabbing her to death and then surrendered himself to the Montreal police.”
