UAE, Chad hold talks to strengthen ties


UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Chad’s Transitional Military Council President Mahamat Idriss Déby discussed bilateral relations and opportunities to develop cooperation.

This came during a meeting with Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, on Monday, Mahamat Idriss Déby, who offered his condolences on the death of Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, May God rest his soul. He recalled the exploits of the late Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and his humanitarian actions that left an impact in many societies around the world, and congratulated Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan on his assumption of the presidency of the United Arab Emirates.

Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Mahamat Idriss Déby exchanged views on regional and international issues and developments of mutual interest, according to the Emirates News Agency.

For his part, the President of the Chadian Transitional Military Council praised the development projects and charitable and humanitarian initiatives implemented and supported by the United Arab Emirates, aimed at improving the lives of peoples in various parts of the world, especially in the African continent.
