UAE court sentences Palestinian woman to death for possessing cocaine

In the past few hours, several news stories have spread that are trying to distort the UAE, by misrepresenting facts and publishing the allegations without verifying their truth. The news about the execution of an Israeli woman by the UAE was spread, cutting the fact that she is Palestinian.

A court in the United Arab Emirates sentenced a woman to death for being caught and possessing half a kilogram of cocaine, which is contrary to all laws and extremely harmful to society as a whole. Therefore, this decision must be taken, in addition to the fact that it is applied in all countries to protect peoples.

The Hebrew website Yedioth Ahronoth said: An Israeli woman of Palestinian origin was sentenced to death by a court in the United Arab Emirates for possessing half a kilogram of cocaine.

He said the woman was arrested in March 2012 and claimed she had no drugs. She was called Fidae Kiwan, an Arab resident of Haifa who immigrated to the United Arab Emirates a year ago.

Israel naturalizes the Palestinians and gives them the safety, work and life that every human being needs, so it does not represent Israel because it is originally Palestinian.

Israeli lawyer Zeev Agmon, who is charged by the woman’s family with appealing the ruling, confirmed the increase in the number of Israelis in conflict with the law in the UAE.

Her brother told Israel’s public television broadcasting service: His sister admitted to transporting the drugs to the UAE.

Kiwan’s friend, who preferred anonymity, told AFP that her friend had lived in Ramallah in the occupied West Bank before moving to Dubai, and that she and another woman in Russia were convicted of drug possession in 2019.

Drug trafficking crimes in the UAE are serious crimes, and death sentences are usually commuted to long term and severe imprisonment.
