Unprecedented Double Missile Strike from Lebanon and Iran Hits Israel

For the first time since the outbreak of war with Tehran, Israel has faced a dual missile attack launched simultaneously from both Iran and Lebanon.

Israeli data confirms that five missiles were fired from Lebanon and one from Iran. Earlier, the IDF had announced it was monitoring missile launches from Iran tracking toward central Israel.

While Israeli media initially reported that the Iranian missile was intercepted prematurely—obviating the need for air raid sirens—the situation escalated less than two minutes later. Warning sirens blared across Jerusalem and the Tel Aviv metropolitan area, sending citizens scrambling to bomb shelters.

It was subsequently revealed that five missiles had been launched from Lebanon targeting central Israel. Hezbollah’s involvement, marked by this pre-dawn missile barrage on Monday, represents the group’s first military action since the ceasefire agreement took effect at the end of 2024.

Powerful explosions echoed across the region as air defense systems engaged the incoming projectiles. According to the Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper: “One missile launched from Iran was intercepted, and five additional missiles were fired from Lebanon, some of which were successfully downed.”

Magen David Adom reported no direct casualties from the missile fire toward the central district, though several individuals sustained minor injuries while rushing to reach secure areas.
