Washington confirms its support to the UAE and vows to hold the Houthi accountable for its terrorist acts
The international and Arab reactions condemning the terrorist attack carried out by Houthi militia planes against the United Arab Emirates on Monday came in a clear and firm condemnation of this cowardly attack, warning that the terrorist group is threatening the security and stability of the region.
The United States of America pledged yesterday, Monday, to hold accountable the Houthi terrorist militia, supported by Iran, especially after the rebels claimed responsibility for the bloody attack on Abou Dabi International Airport and the industrial area nearby.
Following the attack, UAE Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Sheikh Abdallah ben Zayed Al Nahyane received a phone call from United States Secretary of State Antony Blinken, during which the latter reiterated his country’s condemnation of the terrorist attack of the Houthi terrorist militia on civilian areas and facilities in the UAE.
U.S. National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan vowed to hold the Iran-allied Houthi group accountable after its attack on civilian facilities in the United Arab Emirates.
Sullivan said in a statement: “The United States strongly condemns today’s terrorist attack in Abou Dabi, United Arab Emirates that killed three innocent civilians”.
He added: “The Houthi have claimed responsibility for the attack and we will work with the UAE and our international partners to hold them accountable. That commitment is firm, and we stand with our Emirati partners against all threats to their territory”.
Such wide-ranging condemnations, observers say, would undermine Houthi’s persistence in rebellion against international law and aggression on Saudi and Emirati soil.
