Washington offers financial rewards for information on Hamas financiers

The United States will pay about ten million dollars for any information about a revenue source for Hamas and its main donors, as well as financial institutions facilitating its transactions

Washington has offered rewards of up to ten million dollars for information on five financiers of the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas, or anything that would disrupt the financing mechanisms of the movement.

This offer comes after four rounds of U.S. sanctions against Hamas following its incursion into Israel on October 7th. Israel claims that Hamas killed 1,200 people during the attack. Health officials in Gaza say that Israel’s military response resulted in the deaths of 22,600 people and turned large areas of the Palestinian coastal enclave into rubble.

The Ministry stated in a press release that the five wanted individuals are Abdul-Basit Hamza Hassan Mohamed Khair, Amer Kamal Sharif Al-Shawa, Ahmed Sado Jahlub, Walid Mohamed Mustafa Jadallah, and Mohamed Ahmed Abdeldayem Nasrallah, all of whom have been classified by the United States as global terrorists.

The Ministry added that the primary financier known as Hamza resides in Sudan, manages several companies in Hamas‘ investment portfolio, and participated in transferring around 20 million dollars to Hamas. It noted that he has connections with Sudan’s former president, Omar al-Bashir, and extremist groups undermining stability in Sudan.

The Ministry continued that three of Hamas‘ financiers, Amer Kamal Sharif Al-Shawa, Ahmed Sado Jahlub, and Walid Mohamed Mustafa Jadallah, form part of Hamas‘ investment network in Turkey.

The Ministry mentioned that Nasrallah has close ties to Iranian entities and participates in transferring tens of millions of dollars to Hamas. In October, the Ministry stated that he resides in Qatar.

The Ministry stated that the rewards will be provided for information about any revenue source for Hamas, major donors, financial institutions facilitating transactions for Hamas, front companies purchasing dual-use technology for Hamas, and criminal schemes benefiting the movement financially.
