He said the torture included electric shocks, beatings with sticks, suspension on hooks until his shoulders were dislocated, and rape with sharp objects.

He also pointed to the presence of a Somali element inside the prison, recruited specifically to carry out rapes on detainees under orders from the Muslim Brotherhood prison officials, noting that several detainees suffered this type of violation intended to humiliate and break their will.
The former prisoner documented testimonies from other detainees who spoke of being forced to stand naked, crawl over thorns, women being beaten during interrogations, with loud music or Quranic recordings played to drown out the cries of female detainees.

Suleiman considered these practices to constitute crimes that do not lapse with time, calling for an international fact-finding commission and the prosecution of those responsible before the courts, urging the Yemeni government to open an urgent investigation.
He affirmed that these practices flagrantly violate the Yemeni constitution and criminal code, particularly Article 249, which stipulates that torture combined with kidnapping and rape is punishable by death.
The former detainee concluded his testimony by calling on the United Nations and international human rights organizations to urgently intervene to save the detainees and uncover the truth about what is happening behind the walls of the Muslim Brotherhood prisons in Marib.
