Yemen: Is the Houthi militia collapsing due to massive losses? Experts answer
The Houthi militia has been suffering numerous losses and defeats in the south over the past period, repulsing all the moves and plans of the terrorist militia, as the southern forces succeeded in thwarting an infiltration attempt by Houthi terrorist militias in the al-Had Yafa Front in the southern province of Lahij, and the militias suffered heavy losses.
The southern forces, in a statement, indicated that they inflicted heavy losses in lives and materiel on Houthi militias in the battles that took place in the al-Had Yafeh Front on the border with Al-Bayda province. The southern forces confirmed that the battles resulted in deaths and injuries and the destruction of a military mechanism belonging to the militias, and that the al-Had Front is witnessing violent confrontations. The Houthi militias have failed to achieve any military penetration in the lines of contact, despite launching many attacks since the end of the truce on October 2. The southern forces have strengthened their position along the lines of fire with Houthi militias in the areas of Abyan and Lahaj governorates over an area extending to more than 40 kilometers on the borders with Al-Bayda province, which is controlled by the coup militias.
Southern Yemeni political analyst Waddah bin Attiyah said the southern forces are continuing to comb and clear the remaining valleys and mountains where terrorist elements are staying in order to cleanse al-Mahfad. He said the armed forces’ continuous efforts on more than one front are a true translation of the promise made by the southern command to continue fighting terrorism of all types and sects.
The political analyst added: Defeating terrorism is a main southern goal at this stage, as it is in favor of strengthening the security stability system, which will in turn be reflected in the living standards of citizens, as well as the political situation of the people of the south. He noted that there are coordination attempts being made between the Houthi militias and the terrorist groups of Al-Qaeda and the Brotherhood to target the security and stability of Yemen and the region, and to work to implement their terrorist plan in the south, but all these attempts will fail.
In the same context, the Southern Armed Forces were able, over the past 48 hours, to counter an attack launched by the Iranian-backed Houthi terrorist militia in the Qandaa Front in the Beihan district of Shabwah governorate. It was reported that the movements of the terrorist triad are a malicious and suspicious attempt to undermine the security of Shabwah, as well as to undermine the victories achieved by the Southern Armed Forces in their battle against terrorism over the past periods. The victories achieved by the Southern Forces have caused horror to the Yemeni occupation forces, which are clearly seeking to work to activate the pace of terrorism to hinder the South from resolving this battle and this decisive round in the process of imposing security.
