40 Workers Trapped After Tunnel Collapse in India 


At least 40 workers face an uncertain fate after a tunnel collapsed in the northern state of Uttarakhand, India, where they were involved in its construction.

According to rescue teams dispatched immediately to the site, the tunnel collapsed in the early hours of Sunday as some workers were exiting and others entering.

After 10 days, at a depth of 1000 meters. the ‘caveman’ sees the light in Turkey (Photos) Durgish Rathore, an official in the disaster response agencies in the region, stated that a portion of the tunnel. about 200 meters in length, collapsed. He confirmed the presence of around 40 or 41 workers trapped inside the tunnel. Currently, the tunnel. linking Silkaira and Dindigaon, connecting important Hindu temples, is being drilled. with a length of 4.5 kilometers. Images released by government rescue teams show concrete rubble blocking the tunnel. with twisted metal bars hanging from its collapsed ceiling.

The Chief Minister of Uttarakhand. Pushkar Singh Dhami, expressed hope for the safety of the workers trapped inside the tunnel. affirming prayers for their safe retrieval.

The number of incidents related to the collapse of large construction sites in India is increasingly on the rise.
