Egyptian authorities have found a crocodile that caused panic among residents of Giza province.

Residents in the area had shared on social media about the presence of a crocodile in the Al-Shabramant canal in the village of Abu Sir, located in the center of Badrashin city.

After the information spread, Giza Governor Adel Al-Naggar formed a committee from Badrashin City Center, the veterinary services, irrigation department, and the local police to investigate reports of a crocodile in one of the canals. The committee was tasked with locating the animal.

According to a provincial statement, all entrances and exits of the canal were sealed to ensure the crocodile could not escape.
