According to “Fox News,” Routh was born in North Carolina and currently resides in Hawaii. His arrest record includes charges such as possession of minor drugs, driving without a license, expired inspection, and driving without insurance.
Additionally, the “Greensboro News & Record” reported in 2002 that Routh was arrested after barricading himself in the offices of his roofing company during a three-hour standoff following a traffic stop, during which he placed his hand on a firearm before fleeing.

Routh moved to Hawaii in 2017 and has since started a construction company focused on building affordable housing.
Media outlets have circulated footage of Routh from an interview conducted in 2022 with “Newsweek Romania,” where he openly discussed his pro-Ukrainian views in the war with Russia and his efforts to recruit foreign fighters to support Kiev.
