Arab Coalition prevent the second Houthi strike on Saudi Arabia

After that it had demolished a drone that was launched by the Houthi towards the Kingdom’s Khamis Mushait, the Arab Coalition intercepted a second assault by the Iran-backed Houthi militia on Saudi Arabia.

Indeed, the coalition’s spokesperson General Turki al-Maliki stated on Friday that the Arab Coalition interrupted and demolished a drone launched by the Iran-backed Houthi militia towards Saudi Arabia’s Khamis Mushait.

According to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), al-Maliki said that joint Coalition Forces have intercepted and destroyed this morning (Friday) a bomb-laden UAV launched systematically and deliberately by the terrorist Houthi militia to target civilians and civilian objects in (Khamis Mushait).

He also added: These acts of aggression to deliberately and systematically target civilians and civilian objects by the terrorist, Iran-backed Houthi militia amount to war crimes.

The Arab Coalition also indicated that it would still take the necessary procedures to protect civilians in Saudi Arabia and elsewhere in conformity with international humanitarian law.

In fact, the terrorist group has been increasing its efforts to attack Saudi Arabia and many areas in Yemen outside its control. It should indicate that Iran has been supporting the Houthis in Yemen’s civil war against the internationally-recognized government.

The Houthis currently control the Yemeni capital Sanaa, while the government is localized in the city of Aden.
