Al-Eryani warns: Houthi militias continue looting citizens’ properties

Yemeni Minister of Information, Culture and Tourism Muammar al-Eryani said Houthi terrorist militias continue to plunder citizens’ land and farms in Sanaa, warning of the danger posed by the militias’ systematic practices to the social fabric, civil peace and the values of diversity and co-existence among Yemenis.

In a statement carried by the official Yemeni news agency Saba, al-Eryani said: The looting is being carried out under the cover of state institutions that have been seized of “state land and real estate, waqf” and illegal and invalid sentences issued by judges affiliated with the state, he said, adding that the militias are trying to change the demographics of Sanaa and establish a security belt around it.

Al-Eryani stressed the invalidity of any actions or actions carried out by the Houthis on state land and real estate or citizens, and all that that entails. He called on the international community, the United Nations and UN and US envoys to condemn these crimes and put real pressure on the militia leaders to stop the organized looting of citizens’ lands in areas under their control and their attempts to bring about demographic change in Sanaa, which have escalated since the UN truce came into effect.

Meanwhile, Minister of Information, Culture and Tourism Muammar al-Eryani condemned the cowardly terrorist attack that targeted a security checkpoint in Ahwar district in Abyan province. The attack killed 22 members of the security belt, wounded 6 others, and killed 7 of the terrorists who carried out the attack.

This terrorist attack reaffirms the interaction between the Iranian-affiliated Houthi militias and the terrorist organizations “ISIS and al-Qaeda”, and the co-ordination between them to plan and carry out terrorist operations targeting the security services and to harm security and stability in liberated areas, he said.

Al-Eryani expressed his sincere condolences to the families of the security belt members who were killed in the terrorist attack, and his prayers for the injured to recover quickly.
