Ismail Qaani in Baghdad: What is behind the suspicious visit of the commander of the Quds Force?

Iran still insists on interfering in the Iraqi file to resolve the political conflict in favor of its factions there, to the detriment of the Sadrist movement.

Informed sources revealed that the commander of the Iranian Quds Force, Ismail Qaani, arrived last night in Baghdad for an unannounced secret visit, in order to hold meetings and meetings with the leaders of the coordination framework loyal to Iran in Iraq.

The visit aims to agree on the outlines of resolving the political battle, as it reaches the judiciary after the Sadrist bloc took legal action against the President of the State of Law Coalition, Nouri Al-Maliki, in the wake of the sound leaks that have recently spread and found wide controversy in Iraq.

The Sadrist movement demanded the arrest of Nouri Al-Maliki, his travel ban, and his trial for his attempts to cause sectarian strife and fighting in the country during the leaks. The case also accused him of preparing clear plans to threaten the peace and security in Iraq.

The sources confirm that Ismail Qaani is planning to hold a meeting with the leader of the Sadrist movement, Muqtada Al-Sadr, in an attempt to save the face of the coordination framework and its leaders, headed by Nouri Al-Maliki, after revealing their plans in Iraq.

Qaani met recently with Muqtada Al-Sadr, during which Al-Sadr criticized Iran’s interference in Iraqi affairs, saying: “What is the relationship of Iraqi politics with you? … We do not want you to Intervene”, but the Quds Force commander offered to Al-Sadr to resolve the crisis in exchange for Iran’s consideration that the leader of the Sadrist movement would be the personality of Sadrist movement.

The co-ordination framework, according to informed sources, agreed to re-employ the ISIS terrorist group to serve its political interests by attempting to carry out terrorist operations in which the group is involved to help spread chaos in Iraq.

According to “informed sources”, Iran’s arms in Iraq will use ISIS to restore scenes of internal fighting in Iraq and prepare the ground for carrying out assassinations against several political leaders opposed to the coordination framework in Iraq.
