“Caused by actions”… Algerian Prime Minister reveals having evidence of the fire
Algerian Prime Minister Aimene Benabderrahmane said on Thursday that there was “evidence that the fires that broke out in several states were caused by actions.”
During a visit to the state of Tizi Ouzou, which was most affected by the fires, Benabderrahmane said that “the top priority is to preserve the health of the residents.”
“The solidarity gift we are witnessing is the most important component of Algerian society,” he said.
“President Abdelmadjid Tebboune has allocated a budget to compensate the people affected by the fires,” he said, adding that a “tally of losses will be taken today to count all those affected”.
“The state has used all material and moral means to provide for the population in all the states affected by the fires,” he said.
Tebboune declared 3 days of national mourning as of today against the backdrop of the killing of dozens of civilians and military personnel in the fires that swept some states.
On Wednesday, Abdelkader Amirouche, Attorney General of the Tizi Ouzou District Council, revealed that the number of victims of the fires in the area had risen to 69, including 28 soldiers.
