Dog Goes Blind Due to Hedgehog (Photo)

Social media users have circulated a “strange” image of a dog whose face was completely covered in quills.

The British newspaper “Metro” revealed details of the incident that occurred in Edmonton, Canada, where the dog named “Brutus,” abandoned by his owners, was searching for food in a public park.

“Brutus” encountered a hedgehog’s den, and when he tried to catch it, the hedgehog shot its sharp quills into his face, causing severe injuries.

After being found, an animal rescue organization took the dog to a veterinarian, who managed to remove seven quills from the dog‘s left eye, but was unable to save him from blindness.

Social media users expressed their sympathy for the dog, with many offering to adopt and care for him.
