Emirates Red Crescent helps the world


The Emirates Red Crescent is assisting the UAE in distributing many aids that would have circulated the whole world in the period of the emerging Corona virus crisis, throughout the world.

The UAE’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation said it has provided more than 935 tonnes of humanitarian aid to 24 countries around the world, which is part of the aid provided by the UAE united to fight against the emergence of the corona virus.

The Ministry of Health has confirmed that more than 800,000 people have benefited from this aid, including all workers and support teams in the medical sector, which has helped them cope and stand up to the virus and to provide the injured with necessary medical services.

The assistance provided by the UAE includes more than 13 tons of medical supplies provided to Greece on March 26, including gloves, masks, disinfectants and special protective covers.

The UAE is also keen to provide emergency aid to Wuhan, China, with 20 tons of medical and preventive supplies, including masks, gloves and disinfectants.

The UAE has also provided emergency aid to Yemen as part of its response to the coronavirus concerns, which includes the provision of emergency medical supplies with disinfectants, masks and gloves.

The UAE also cooperated with the World Health Organization to send 6 tons of medical supplies to Iran on March 3 to help more than 15,000 health workers.

In addition to providing 20 tons of medical assistance to Serbia last March, a plane was also flown to Kazakhstan to provide 13 tons of medical assistance, in addition to another plane carrying 13 tons of medical supplies to Italy for help her deal with Corona.

On the other hand, the UAE delivered more than 6 tons of aid material to the Republic of Mali on a plane, which contained medical supplies and examination devices to help it limit the spread of the novel corona virus Covid -19 and he expects there to be more than 6,000 healthcare workers, to step up their efforts to contain the crown.

The United Arab Emirates Embassy in Washington also moved to the National Pediatric Center in Washington and provided assistance, and was the first to launch a testing site for children and young patients with coronavirus.

UAE aid around the world

The UAE Red Crescent aid also included Afghanistan, Brazil, Malaysia, Ukraine, Cyprus, Mauritania, Colombia, Bulgaria, South Africa, Somalia, Pakistan, Iraq, Sudan, Yemen, Palestine, Russian Dagestan, Mali, Niger, Serillion, Cuba, Madagascar, Colombia, the Dominican, and many countries recently.

Hamid Rashid Al Shamsi, international aid adviser to the UAE Red Crescent Authority, said UAE humanitarian aid has reached all continents of the world and has reached over 935 tons of aid, material and of medical supplies. The UAE also assisted in the evacuation of more than 2,500 Arab and foreign nationals stranded in the city of Wuhan, China.

The Emirates also took the approach of its founder, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan that God is full of compassion for him, the founder of the state, as he sought to help the world and worked to develop a cure or an emerging corona virus vaccine.

He also explained that the UAE’s humanitarian role continues in Yemen, as the UAE Red Crescent Authority has launched awareness campaigns and initiatives on the coronavirus in liberated governorates.

During the holy month of Ramadan, the UAE also provided more than 35,000 food baskets, benefiting 245,000 people, and also provided 4,000 food baskets to those affected by the precautionary measures.

Until now, the UAE continues to send medical payments and medical consignments day in and day out to every country in the world, and the UAE Red Crescent continues to showcase its initiatives all over the world, especially in this crisis. that we are going through recently due to the succession of global crises caused by the Corona virus, especially in poor countries, and is not developing.
