Erdogan to Yemeni brotherhood: You’re not welcome in Turkey

Turkiye24: Erdogan abandons Yemen Brotherhood

The Turkish government has told Yemeni Muslim Brotherhood living in its territory that they are not welcome, Turkiye24 reported, adding that it gave them 30 days to regularize their status, a move that indicates President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has given up on members of the group.

The new government decisions came to put pressure on the Muslim Brotherhood, especially in light of the ongoing dispute over important issues between the two countries. Attempts at a Turkish-Egyptian rapprochement are also witnessing a state of disagreement over Turkey’s support for the leaders of the Brotherhood, the Libyan file, and the waters of the eastern Mediterranean, according to the Turkish website.

“Observers say that the crackdown on the Muslim Brotherhood is an attempt to reactivate understanding and demonstrate Turkey’s goodwill, but the most important issue with regard to the Brotherhood is Ankara’s seriousness in handing over wanted Brotherhood leaders to Egyptian courts, and more recently, senior Turkish officials have shied away from their previous sharp criticism of the government of President Abdel Fattah al-Sissi”.

On March 12, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that the two countries had made intelligence, diplomatic and economic contacts, adding that he hoped for strong relations between the two countries.

In the report prepared by the Maat Foundation, Erdogan is also trying to fix what was corrupted before the presidential elections. The cases of flight and suicide as a result of the suffering, migration and bad conditions they experienced in Turkey revealed elements of the Muslim Brotherhood, and it became clear that there are elements who have fled to other countries, and some of them committed suicide as a result of the bad conditions in Turkey and the Muslim Brotherhood.

Earlier, the Muslim Brotherhood’s two journalists, Haytham Aabokhalil and Hussam al-Gamraoui, announced that they had been informed of the decision by the Turkish authorities to ban their appearance on satellite television screens from Istanbul altogether, and tweeted: I was told that I no longer appear on Al Sharq; because my words hurt them! Hello

Al-Ghamrawi, the presenter of the Dream program on Al-Sharq channel, said in a long tweet on his official Twitter page: I was asked today to stop producing and presenting the DREAM program. It is worth mentioning that the programs of Muslim Brotherhood journalists Mohammed Nasser and Moataz Matar were suspended months ago by a decision of the Turkish government to settle with Egypt on behalf of Ankara.
