The British newspaper “Daily Mail” reported that Tom Cruise and other actors in Hollywood fear a day when artificial intelligence could render them unemployed, as it could replace them in acting roles.

The star of the “Mission: Impossible” film series used to believe that the audience would prefer watching real actors rather than any digitally created product.

He is known for his passion for performing dangerous scenes himself and got involved in a dispute between actors and producers last week regarding the use of artificial intelligence in acting, which could potentially lead to his exclusion from such scenes.

Hollywood has witnessed strikes over concerns by workers about the consequences of using artificial intelligence and other issues.

These individuals believe that the use of artificial intelligence poses an existential threat to the cinema and television as we know them.

Prior to the strike, an organization representing actors enlisted Tom Cruise to express their concerns about the studios’ use of this new technology.

Artists fear that production companies might use artificial intelligence as a substitute for actors, making it appear as if actors are playing cinematic roles when in reality, they are not.

Fran Dresser, the president of the 160,000-member strong artistic union in the United States, stated, “We will all be at risk of being replaced by machines.”

However, some see a positive aspect to this development, as artificial intelligence could recreate the appearances of actors who have long since passed away in new films.

They argue that the actors’ protests and fears are exaggerated, asserting that artificial intelligence cannot replace actors.
