For the First Time… “First Class” Air Travel for Dogs

In a whimsical announcement, a private jet rental company has introduced a “first class” air travel service specifically for dogs, allowing pets to travel like VIPs.

The CEO of BARK Air, launched by the dog toy company BARK in partnership with a luxury private jet rental service, stated that they would offer dogs of all sizes and their owners “comfortable and stylish” flights.

BARK Air’s website proclaims, “We are here to revolutionize air travel for dogs.”

BARK Air recently shared details of the company’s first flight via an Instagram post, saying: “Currently, at an altitude of 30,000 feet, there is a flight full of dogs. Unlike any flight before, these dogs are not an afterthought, nor are they treated as cargo or a burden to the crew and fellow passengers. Here, dogs are the top priority.”

BARK Air went on to say that preparing for these flights took 10 years, and now they are ready and able to provide all dogs with the air travel experience they deserve, according to the company’s post.

USA Today reported that a dog and its owner would spend around $8,000 for a one-way international flight and $6,000 for a domestic flight.

Flights are expected to begin from New York, Los Angeles, and London, according to BARK Air’s website.

Finally, the company stated that the new air travel service will provide everything dogs need to reduce their anxiety and stress, allowing them to enjoy a more comfortable and fear-free experience aboard the plane.
