Houthi militias admit that 31 of their leaders were killed in a week

Al-Ain News monitored the funeral and burial of 31 bodies of Houthi militia leaders in the capital during the first week of August.

Houthi media announced the lists of the dead, including the names of prominent field commanders who were killed by Yemeni army and popular resistance forces and airstrikes by Arab coalition fighters on various fronts.

The casualty list showed that 31 officers of various military ranks were killed, including 3 so-called “colonel” within the militia, 2 lieutenant colonel, 5 major, 8 captain, 7 lieutenant and 6 assistant.

“The Houthi militia’s casualties are mounting, as fierce fighting rages in Bayda and Marib governorates that have devoured the most militia deaths.”

“The count does not include the number of Houthi non-leadership elements, which military sources estimate at 200 killed, the majority of whom were killed on the fronts of Marib, El-Beida, and the western coast.”

“The human toll suffered by the Houthi militia during July was significant, with the militia burying the bodies of 227 of its officers and prominent commanders in sporadic fighting in El-Beida and Marib governorates.”

According to military sources, the real figures of the militia’s deaths are higher than those reported in the media, in addition to those buried in the provinces immediately and unannounced.
