This was the case of one of the leaders of those militias who was arrested by security forces when he infiltrated Marib province in eastern Yemen disguised as women.
A statement issued by the Marib security forces, said that “Manie Ali Hassan was arrested at a security checkpoint belonging to the security services trying to infiltrate Marib in women’s clothes”.

According to the statement, Hassan “worked for the security apparatus of the Houthi militias, and then went to fight in fardat Nehm, and took charge of arming at the front east of Sanaa, then as an assistant to the supervisor of mobilization and recruitment”.
“He tried to infiltrate the city of Marib and was arrested at the first security checkpoint run by the special security forces,” it said. “The car that was waiting to arrive at the next checkpoint was also arrested and handed over to the competent authorities”.

“Hassan used to use families and women’s clothes as a means to enter Marib, but the eyes of security and the level of their sense of security were able to reveal him from among the passengers of the car he was on to be arrested”.

“The eyes of the security forces are not oblivious to the militias‘ methods and are capable of uncovering their camouflage and deciding on the complexities of their message and movement”, said Brig. Gen. Salim al-Siaghi, commander of Marib’s special security forces.
Yemeni security agencies in Marib, Aden and the western coast have seized dozens of Houthi cells, including women who were used as soft cells by Houthi militias.
