Hundreds of men accused of harassment and tearing a girl’s clothes
Video footage has revealed a girl was gang-molested by hundreds and had her clothes ripped off while filming a video of a TikTok stand in a public park in Lahore.
The shocking videos, which have gone viral on social media, show a girl being dragged through a crowd of hundreds of people gathered in the park to celebrate Independence Day, an event marking the end of British colonial rule. The victim said in statements to local newspapers: “I tried to escape from the crowd with six others when we were attacked by about 300 to 400 people and assaulted us violently.”
She added: “People pushed me and pulled me so much that they tore my clothes.. Many people tried to help me but the crowd was huge and they kept attacking me.”
The Sky News Arabia website said that Pakistani police have opened an investigation into the sexual assault and harassment of a young woman by hundreds of unknown men while she was filming a video in a park in Lahore.
The website quoted the British newspaper, The Guardian, as saying that the case involved the prosecution of 400 unidentified people who assaulted the young woman, a content maker on TikTok, and stripped her of part of her clothes and harassed her.
