Iran welcomed Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince’s recent statements

In an interview on Tuesday, Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince declared: At the end of the day, Iran is a neighboring country. All we ask for is to have a good and distinguished relationship with Iran, adding: We do not want the situation with Iran to be difficult. On the contrary, we want it to prosper and grow as we have Saudi interests in Iran, and they have Iranian interests in Saudi Arabia, which is to drive prosperity and growth in the region and the entire world.

Iran’s negative actions

Moreover, the Crown Prince criticized Iran’s negative behaviors, introducing its nuclear program, support for militias in regional countries and ballistic missile program.

He also stated: We are working now with our partners in the region and the world to find solutions for these problems. We really hope we would overcome them and build a good and positive relationship with Iran that would benefit all parties.

On Thursday, Iran’s Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif announced after that he finished a regional tour to Kuwait, Qatar, Oman and Iraq that Tehran was directed towards building strong bilateral relations in the region. In 2016, Saudi Arabia and Iran had stopped diplomatic relations.
