Is the time approaching for humans to inhabit other planets?
Jeff Bezos answers Jeff Bezos, the billionaire founder of “Amazon” and the CEO of “Blue Origin” for space technology, has revealed his ambitious vision in the field of space.
Jeff Bezos aspires to create a future where trillions of humans live in space colonies on multiple planets.
During an interview on the Lex Fridman Podcast, Bezos confirmed that they are currently working to achieve this goal, expecting to have a million human colonies in space, each with a population of one million.
Since stepping down as the CEO of “Amazon” over two years ago, Jeff Bezos has dedicated his time and energy to his space company, “Blue Origin,” aiming to accelerate the pace of development and innovation in the space industry.
Bezos emphasized the need to accelerate progress in space exploration, expressing his enjoyment in facing both large and small challenges related to it.
Jeff Bezos, who founded “Amazon” in 1994, stated that his decision to step down from the company’s presidency was to focus on his space company, which aims to make space accessible to everyone.
He added that he is focused on a future where humans can live in space colonies on more than one planet.
On another note, “Blue Origin” announced the postponement of the launch of its “New Shepard” rocket to a later time this week, after more than a year since an incident led to its suspension.
The company explained that the delay is due to a problem with the ground systems and will announce a new launch window soon.
It is worth noting that the incident in September 2022 resulted in the rocket’s crash, which did not carry passengers at the time, and investigations revealed a higher-than-expected rise in engine temperature.
