Libya: The government promises to stop COVID-19 spread
Chief of the Libyan Presidential Council Mohammed al-Menfi called the government to increase work for fighting against the coronavirus pandemic that has ruined the country.
Moreover, Spokesperson of the Libyan Government of National Unity (GNU) Mohamed Hamouda stated that stopping the pandemic constitute the government’s top priority. In this context, the government is following the vaccination campaign to curb the propagation of the virus that is spreading violently in the west of the country.
Furthermore, the Municipal Council of Bani Walid kept the measures taken on Tuesday, including closing popular markets and mosques and suspending conferences for ten days. The Council also punished shop owners who violated the preventative securities.
