Mohamed bin Zayed’s Visit to Ethiopia… Addis Ababa Adorned with UAE Flags
The Ethiopian capital, Addis Ababa, was adorned with flags of the United Arab Emirates on Friday in a grand celebration of the visit of Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the President of the UAE.
Exceptional scenes of celebration marked Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan’s visit to the Republic of Ethiopia, reflecting strong bilateral relations between the two friendly countries.
According to the Emirates News Agency “WAM,” the streets of Addis Ababa were adorned with UAE flags and images of the President of the UAE, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed, and Abiy Ahmed, the Prime Minister of Ethiopia, in an exceptional display.
Flags and images were displayed in various main streets of the city, conveying the joy of welcoming the distinguished guest in a tableau that illustrates the depth of strong ties between the friendly peoples of both nations.
The United Arab Emirates and Ethiopia share deep-rooted relations built on strong foundations of understanding, mutual respect, and common interests.
Earlier on Friday, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the President of the UAE, arrived in Addis Ababa for an official visit to Ethiopia aimed at enhancing friendship and cooperation between the two countries in various aspects.
The President of the UAE received exceptional reception, including official ceremonies and popular atmospheres where children held flags of both countries, lining up on the side of the aircraft runway, reflecting the depth of relations between the two countries and solidifying them across different generations.
Formal reception ceremonies were held for Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, during which the national anthems of both the UAE and Ethiopia were played. Artillery salutes were fired, and a group of honor guards lined up to welcome the visit.
