Mohammed bin Zayed ”best international humanitarian relief character”
Sheik Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, has been awarded the World Health Advisory Council (DISAP) World Award for Best International Humanitarian Personality – Dehad 2021, the Emirates News Agency (WAM) reported Monday.
The award was given to Sheik Mohammed bin Zayed “as an international recognition for his continued support and his sincere efforts to promote international humanitarian and relief work, and in appreciation of the leading role the UAE plays in providing medical assistance and supporting the needy around the world, especially in light of the repercussions of the Coronavirus pandemic”.
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior Sheik Mohammed bin Zayed al-Nahyan received the award on behalf of Ambassador Gerhard Pottman Kramer, director of Dehad and International Scientific Advisory Council (DISAP), on the sidelines of the Dubai International Conference on Relief and Development (DEHAD), which kicked off at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition and Exhibition Center.
The award is one of the high-profile prizes awarded by the International Scientific Advisory Council of DEAP in the field of international humanitarian relief. It is a tribute to international figures and leaders who play a prominent role in supporting people in need around the world, international institutions and international organizations working in the field of humanitarian relief.
