Mohammed bin Zayed : The first image of Mars from the Hope probe is a pivotal moment in our history


Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the United Arab Emirates Armed Forces, tweeted to celebrate the sending of the first image of Mars from the Hope spacecraft.

Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan said, in Arabic and English, through his Twitter account : “Sending the first image of Mars with the lens (Hope Probe) … good news and new joy … and a defining moment in our history, ushering in the UAE’s membership of the developed world’s elite in space exploration. “

He added : “God willing, this mission will open up new horizons in the process of discovering the red planet, which will benefit humanity, science and the future.”

And in a new historic feat, the Hope probe sent, on Sunday, a photo of Mars, to be the first image of the red planet from an Arab and Islamic probe, and this 5 days after his launch.

The UAE “Hope Probe” landed on the “Red Planet” on Tuesday night, and the UAE capped the first 50 years since her founding in 1971 with an unprecedented historical and scientific event, so this achievement would be a celebration worthy of the United Arab Emirates Golden Jubilee of Creation.

With the successful arrival of the “Probe of Hope” in orbit of Mars, the UAE becomes the fifth country in the world to achieve this historic achievement, as part of her qualitative science project to explore the red planet.

The Emirati Mars exploration mission aims to provide scientific data on this planet that had not yet been reached by humans.

The ambitious mission aims to present the first integrated image of the atmosphere of this planet, in a mission that will continue for a Martian year.

The United Arab Emirates seeks, through the journey of the probe of hope to Mars, to implement a giant project that strengthens their leadership in the space world and to build the first human settlement on the Red Planet, from here 2117.
