Local sources, cited by Al-Muntasaf Net, reported that a series of explosions occurred in a weapons depot inside a building used by the Al-Sa’alik Brigade, affiliated with the Muslim Brotherhood‘s Al-Islah Party, in the Al-Kawthar residential area near the former Al-Harish Street, in the center of Taiz city.
The sources confirmed that successive explosions struck a facility in the area of the “Central Organization for Control and Auditing,” a government watchdog responsible for combating corruption. This explosion once again highlights public and private facilities in Taiz used as military bases by the Brotherhood, who refuse to vacate them despite repeated orders, the most recent being from a committee formed by the chairman of the Presidential Council, Rashad Al-Alimi, during his recent visit to the city.
