Saudi Arabia Says it Administered quite 12 Million Vaccine Doses
The Saudi Health Ministry has called on nationals and residents to stick to precautionary and preventive measures against the coronavirus even after receiving the vaccine.
Saudi Arabia initiated mass vaccinations against COVID-19 on December 17. So far, over 12 million doses are administered in 587 centers across the country.
On Friday, the Ministry announced that 1,136 new confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus are reported within the Kingdom, bringing the whole number to 438,705, including 8,775 active cases undergoing treatment.
Of these, there are 1,331 critical cases, while the health condition of the remainder is stable, said the statement.
It added that 10 new deaths are reported, putting the tally of fatalities at 7,224.
Also, as many as 980 cases have recovered, raising the recoveries toll to 422,706.
According to official data, 81,678 new laboratory tests were conducted, within the last 24 hours.
In the UAE, the Ministry of Health and Prevention announced that 122,001 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine got within the past 24 hours.
The total number of doses provided up to today stands at 11,944,055 with a rate of vaccine distribution of 120.76 doses per 100 people.
This is in line with the Ministry’s decide to provide the COVID-19 vaccine to all or any members of society and efforts to succeed in immunity resulting from the vaccination, which can help reduce the amount of cases and control the virus.
Also, the Ministry reported Friday 1,490 coronavirus cases, together with 1,451 recoveries and two deaths.
The total number of cases within the UAE is 552,920, while total recoveries stand at 532,910. The price rises to 1,644.
In Bahrain, the Health Ministry recorded seven COVID-19-related deaths with 2,415 new cases within the last 24 hours.
The Bahraini National Medical Taskforce for Combating the Coronavirus said during a news conference last Thursday that the increase in COVID-19 cases compels the society to stick to all or any the precautionary measures, including avoiding gatherings and receiving the vaccine.
