Security collapses and hunger spreads… Houthi’s crimes are innumerable in Yemen

Fueling wars, destruction and death is what the Houthi militia has wanted from the war in Yemen since its 8-year-old coup, where the Houthi militia continues to do what it has been doing – constituting war crimes, if not crimes against humanity – with attacks on neighboring countries, where the Houthis are seeking to kill Yemeni civilians, using children in the war, and continuously violating and oppressing women and the elderly across Yemen.

The areas controlled by the Houthis face mounting tensions and the growing criminality of Yemeni citizens, including food shortages, withholding salaries, looting of charities, and other hardships.

Houthi’s Crimes Don’t End

The Houthi terrorist militia and Iran’s arm in Yemen have created hundreds of thousands of Yemenis who have been killed and injured and displaced in addition to their crimes, despite condemnation by the international community of the violations and the adoption of bolder and more comprehensive steps and decisions towards the Houthis.

Houthi is also increasing rocket attacks, in view of the fear and the constant complaint by the local population of the deteriorating security situation in the areas where these terrorist militias are deployed, coinciding with Houthi’s recent announcement of the registration of four provinces under his control over the past 30 days.

Media reports in Yemen point to an increase in crimes of all types and the spread of chaos and armed criminal gangs in their areas, with more than 1,855 crimes recorded. They attribute this to the continuing deterioration of the security situation, which most cities continue to witness under the supervision of pro-Houthi security and military leaders.

It reported an increase in homicide, robbery, theft of homes, shops, people and vehicles, drug use and trafficking, banditry, rape, kidnapping, fraud, extortion, extortion and looting of private property.

Confessions of Crimes

The Houthi militia recently admitted to having committed more than 1,855 different criminal offenses in the past month (December 2022) in Sana’a and three other governorates under the group’s control.

Sanaa topped the list with 1,218 recorded crimes during that period, followed by Hajjah with 248, al-Mahwit with 232 and Raymah with 157.
