Study: Cinnamon Helps Diabetes Patients
The results of a recent study have shown that cinnamon, curcumin, and resveratrol are substances that help lower cholesterol levels, as well as improve and regulate metabolism (the process by which the body converts food and drinks into energy) in diabetes patients.
The German news agency quoted the magazine “Hilbraxisent”, stating that these findings were based on the conclusions of a study conducted by researchers from the Poznań University of Medical Sciences in Poland, aiming to evaluate the effectiveness of dietary supplements such as curcumin, resveratrol, and cinnamon on oxidative stress impact and antioxidant activity in individuals with type 2 diabetes.
It has been experimentally demonstrated that taking curcumin, resveratrol, and cinnamon contributes to reducing oxidative stress and inflammatory conditions, as well as improving carbohydrate metabolism.
Researchers attribute these benefits to the fact that curcumin, resveratrol, and cinnamon substances reduce glucose, insulin, and glycated hemoglobin concentrations, as well as having a positive effect on fat metabolism.
