Study: Fathers are better than mothers in helping children with their studies

A new study has found that fathers help children with their studies better than mothers do, assisting them in achieving better academic performance.

The British study revealed that fathers serve as strong motivators, aiding children in achieving better academic performance as well as in other daily activities.

The researchers at Bangor University in Wales found that the presence of fathers with their children during study times helps them, enhancing their focus and multiplying their ability to excel academically.

The study suggests that children who interacted positively with their fathers at the age of 3 performed exceptionally well in school by the age of 5. Additionally, their academic and social skills developed by the age of 7.

The study argues that fathers can be a motivating source for developing their children’s linguistic, social, and motor skills. When fathers participate in teaching their children, they build stronger relationships, enhancing feelings of security and confidence.

The study’s results showed that 70% of children whose fathers were present during study times experienced an increased concentration and academic achievement. It is believed that this is due to fathers adopting motivating methods that are closer to their children’s interests.
