Study – Vitamin D deficiencies can cause chronic inflammation
“The International Journal of Epidemiology” announces that inflammation can be the cause of vitamin D deficiency, the journal conducted a study on a number of people, to reveal the relationship between the lack of said vitamin and chronic inflammation.
A lack of vitamin D can cause calcium and phosphorus deficiencies, vitamin D deficiencies can also lead to the appearance of chronic inflammation. People suffering from vitamin D deficiency often experience pain, muscle weakness, and fatigue. The lack of this vitamin can also impact mental health, in fact this type of deficiency can cause a depressed mood.
In this regard, researchers conducted a study on 294,970 people, based on their genetic data, the analyzes revealed a relationship between vitamin D deficiency and the inflammation that can appear in people with vitamin D deficiency.
The specialist journal published by the University of Oxford has made comparisons on the levels of vitamin D concentrations in the levels of C-reactive protein (CRP), it is in fact a biomarker of inflammation closely adopted. A well chained and homogeneous relationship was noticed between the lack of vitamin D and the elevated CRP.
“The International Journal of Epidemiology” also recalled that the biomarker makes it easy to identify people suffering from chronic diseases accompanied by inflammatory components. Thus the fact of solving the lack of vitamin D in the patients concerned, can alleviate chronic inflammation.
It should be remembered that vitamin D promotes the fixation of calcium, as it allows the mineralization of bones and teeth. However, it is recommended to eat products that contain fatty fish, fish liver oils, as well as egg yolk, these foods contain a high percentage of vitamin D.
