The Brotherhood issues a statement against Ali Karti inciting the shedding of the blood of the sons of Sudan… Details

The Sudanese branch of the Muslim Brotherhood, led by Ali Karti, issued a statement inciting the people against each other and calling for bloodshed in the name of religion.

The Secretary-General of the Islamic Movement in Sudan, Ali Karti, issued a statement regarding the current situation in the country. Karti, who previously served as the Minister of Justice and Minister of Foreign Affairs, and supervised the Popular Defense Forces during the era of the ousted President Omar al-Bashir, called on the army for transparency and clarification of the facts to the people. He also urged the arming of those who are vigilant, whether they will witness for or against the army, according to Al-Rakoba website.

The leadership of the armed forces was urged to address the people with the truth, not leaving them prey to rumors and the schemes of rebels who aim to undermine the people’s trust in them, to shake off those around you. Karti called on the masses of the Sudanese people, who overthrew their regime in a great and epic revolution five years ago, to be steadfast like mountains and fierce in protecting their rights.

Karti had issued a fatwa two days ago, stating, “Fighting against the Rapid Support Forces is a defensive jihad, a fight against the transgressors and corruptors on the earth without conditions, exceptions, or reservations. Every Muslim must defend themselves and others as much as they can, whether male or female.”
