“The end of the war in Yemen” – Houthis manipulate an old video
“Lie and lie until you believe yourself”. This is the case with the trumpets of the Houthi terrorist militia, who are now gasping for facts in desperate attempts to raise their morale.
A video shared by users on social media, which publishers claim is a Saudi announcement to end the war in Yemen.
But the video is actually old and fragmented.
The video, circulated the day after the kingdom was hit by Houthi militia attacks on oil installations, shows Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud at a proposed offer to end the conflict in Yemen in 2012, AFP reported.
“Saudi Arabia has stopped the war under the pressure of missiles”, said the commentary, which is attached to the video posted by supporters and supporters of the Houthi militia.
Old video
After searching Google’s engine using the first sentence heard in the video, “A Comprehensive Ceasefire under UN Control and Customs Duties and Revenues”, several articles are talking about a Saudi ceasefire initiative in Yemen, but on March 22, 2021.
The kingdom made the offer as part of an initiative to establish a “comprehensive ceasefire throughout the country under the auspices of the UN”, which included a plan to reopen Sanaa airport for a limited number of destinations.
The kingdom is leading a military coalition in Yemen in support of the legitimate, internationally recognized government, which has been fighting the Houthis since 2015.
Saudi Arabia has warned that Houthi attacks pose a threat to oil supplies on world markets, as crude markets are strained over Russia’s military operation in Ukraine.
