The iPhone 14 could be announced on September 13, 2022

Apple has become accustomed to unveiling its new smartphones in September. It is one of the major events of the year with the WWDC which is held in June. Generally, Tim Cook’s group opts for the first half of the month and likes to meet on Tuesdays, with a few exceptions. Thus, in recent years, iPhones have been formalized on September 14, 2021, September 15, 2020, September 10, 2019, and September 12, 2018. This last date fell exceptionally on a Wednesday.

According to one post on Twitter by leaker iHacktu, September 13 seems to be the most likely date for the launch of the new iPhone 14. Indeed, in the United States where Apple is headquartered, Labor Day takes place every year on the first Monday of September. Under these conditions, the American group therefore does not retain the day after this national holiday for its presentation. Which ultimately leaves only one choice, September 13, if Apple again opts for a Tuesday.

According to the latest leaks, the future series could consist of four terminals including an iPhone 14, a Pro, a Max and a Pro Max, the first two being likely to have a screen size of 6.1 inches, against 6 .7 inches for the latter.

The iPhone 14 and 14 Max could keep the A15 Bionic chip from the iPhone 13, while the Pro and Pro Max versions would benefit from the A16 Bionic and therefore theoretically increased performance. Similarly, only the Pro could finally see the notch disappear and continue to benefit from the ProMotion.

On the photo part, these high-end models could take a leap forward with a 48 Mpx main sensor. Finally, according to rumors launched by analyst Ming Chi Kuo, recognized for the reliability of his forecasts concerning Apple products, the real advance of the iPhone 14 and 14 Max would reside in the selfie camera. It would be enriched with an automatic autofocus and lenses with a larger aperture.
