The little genius… speaks 7 languages at the age of four

A four-year-old British boy can count up to 100 languages, making him the youngest Briton to be a member of the prestigious Mensa Society.

According to the British Daily Mail, Teddy Hobbs became a member at 3 years and 9 months of age for his ability to read and calculate in seven languages.

Hobbs passed the cognitive test to become a member of the Mensa Society, having scored 139 points out of 160 in an achievement that impressed his parents.

Mensa membership is restricted to people with a high degree of intelligence. Hobbs can count to 100 in seven languages, six of which are foreign to him, including Mandarin, Welsh, French, Spanish and German.

The boy, who lives in Somerset County, England, started learning to read early when he was two and four months old, and he loves math a lot. Now four years old, Teddy is able to read Harry Potter books.

Teddy became the youngest Briton ever to be a member of the Society, while an American child was only two years old. The parents noted that their child had a unique personality, as he did not care much about the things that preoccupy his peers of age, such as video games and television.

They emphasized that Teddy listens closely to everything that is said about him, and remembers the finest details that were said to him, even if it was a full year ago.
